The G73JW-XA1 Republic of Gamers 173-Inch Gaming Laptop

Model G73JW-XA1

Republic of gamers review: Asus G73JW-XA1. One of the reasons the G73JW-XA1 Republic of Gamers 17.3-Inch Asus Gaming Laptop is clearly the best is because of its specifications. With a whopping 8GB of DDR3 RAM, one may be assured that system resources will always be available for every gaming need. Meanwhile, the laptop system  has a dedicated GeForce GTX 460M graphics card. Further, the laptop has a 1.73 GHz processor – with Turbo Boost, up to 2.93 GHz). Between these three factors, one may rest assured that with practically any game, one may enjoy pretty much maximum quality settings without worrying about any lag or frozen computer screens.

g73jw-xa1The ASUS G73JW-XA1 Gaming Laptop has other features that make it stand out from the rest of its competition as well. For example, with a virtually limitless amount of hard drive space – 750GB – one may comfortably install as many games as one wishes, while having plenty of space left over for movies, music, and pretty much anything else. In addition, it has a 2.0 megapixel web-cam for any web chatting needs, and also possesses a beautiful 17.3 inch screen so one will never miss any action.

While the specifications on the laptop are indeed nice, the G73JW-XA1 Republic of Gamers 17.3-Inch Asus Gaming Laptop also stands out by being an immensely aesthetically pleasing device. The design of the laptop is dark and sleek, with keys that light up so one may type comfortably even in the darkest of spaces. In addition, it is designed to allow hot air to escape efficiently – a much needed feature, as other high-powered brands tend to overheat due to the massive power of the machines. The motherboards are so powerful on machines like these, that this feature is an especially good option. With this laptop, along with a nice backpack, one may jaunt to the nearest LAN party and “frag” until one’s heart is content. The best price you can get for the Asus G73-JW-XA1 is  from Amazon.com

This is what some actual users are saying about it:

#1

I achieve great graphic performance at maximum video options flawlessly on all the video games I own
.The utilization of the rear vent by the cooling system is awesome and prevents the laptop from becoming a hotplate thus allowing full gaming performance.  Compared to other laptop models inside the identical price range, the features and performance are head and shoulders above the rest. I highly recommend this laptop to any gamer looking to get a portable and powerful gaming system

I extensively reviewed the laptop market, looking for a desktop replacement with high-end components at a reasonable price. Specifically, I compared the Asus against Alienware, Dell, HP, Toshiba, Sager, and several other quality laptop vendors. Considering the price and performance, there was simply no comparison. The ASUS had the best graphics card, fastest processor, most memory, 7200RPM hard drive, HD resolution display, reasonable ports, etc. Check out other  notebook reviews. – both  the ASUS and other laptops as well as on the various mobile graphics cards and processors and you’ll see for yourself why this notebook, at this price, is unbeatable
.I’ve used the laptop for about one month now and it is superb! Keeps up with the most demanding games, keyboard doesn’t seem to have the issues that the G73JH did, venting keeps the laptop amazingly cool and it is quiet. So far, so excellent!

Notes:
1. This isn’t a portable notebook. Although it might be carried around, when you will need something which is very portable, look elsewhere.
2. Blu-Ray could be nice. It’s an option for those of you who need to have it (or, you are able to get an inexpensive external player)
three. The G73JW is marginally larger so should you want a 2″ bigger screen, take into consideration this model
4. You might uncover variants of this notebook being sold by different vendors. For “cheaper” versions, be positive to check the challenging drive speed (lots of are 5400).

Pros- Its a steal for the price the hardware it comes with. Can handle a lot of games on ultra settings (starcraft 2 etc.). Easy click performance settings. Nice dual radiators/fans to cut down on the heat. Does not get hot for me at all even when gaming hardcore. -I wish crysis 2 was out so i can see how it performs with that and give a better gaming review.

Cons – The positioning of the power cord and HDMI etc is not practical(limits mouse space and distance power cord can reach for right-handers)The buttons can be sticky(having to double-press), The screen seems to be a little flimsy for the beastly laptop it is. And the sound cant get as loud as it should for this machine. It also didn’t come with a back-up disc(restore). And lastly, I had to find out where to send my warranty card via internet because I was given the wrong address.

g73jw-xa1 The DVD does not have a drive status (in-use) light to alert you of  the drive status.   Since the cooling ia so aggressive at the back, all the ports are located on the side. If you want to use video cables you would have a crowded area as a result.

The xA1 does not come with a Blu Ray DVD drive.  If this is something you really need to have in your system then you would have to purchase the ASUS G73JW-A1 which comes with a it. Oh! Talking about the asus g73jw-a1, it is also a very good gaming laptop. The reason why I am stressing about the A1 is solely for the price; ($215.00 difference)  mainly for someone who is on a tight budget but still wants the best. Hey! Who does not want to save some money if they can? You can also get the  G73JW-A1  from Amazon.com . The main difference between the A1 and the XA1 are as follows:

The A1 comes with a mouse and a back pack but the XA1 does not come with any.

  • There is a slight 300 MHz memory difference between them but not in capacity since they all have 8 GB.
  • The main difference to me is the blu-ray  player that the A1 has but the XA1 does not have, but if you are on a tight budget, that is something you can go without.
  • The hard drive is another small difference;  the  XA1 has 750 GB at 7200 rpm and already pre-partitioned to 500 GB of Data and a 250 GB of O.S, but the A1 has two 500 GB drives at 7200 rpm.
  • The XA1 has a one year warranty but the  A1 has a two year warranty. The price difference between the A1 and the XA1 is about two hundred dollars.

There are some slight advantages in value in the A1 over the XA1 but for someone who is on a tight budget, and just want a very descent laptop for an ultimate gaming experience,  the XA1 is a good choice but, if you want to take advantage of the other features, and you have the money to spare, then I would recommend the  G73JW-A1 Asus  gaming laptop. If you  want the priciest of them all in this series, with the most features, you can go for the Asus G73JW-ROG which goes for about $2,269 at Amazon.

g73jw-xa1

  • This laptop comes with a 16 GB 1333 MHz Memory as opposed to the 8GB for the A1
  • It also has Blu –ray Burner as a opposed to a Blu-ray drive as in the A1
  • There is also a 4GB SSD as opposed to no SSD in the A1. which is not a convincing selling point for most people.

Taking into account   these extra features, you would have to determine if the extra amount of money is necessary to spend considering that  those extra features will further enhance your gaming experience but also having in mind the extra cost involved. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Republic of gamers revew :  Asus G73JH-A2 gaming laptop. Are you a serious gamer dedicated to winning each and every time you go online? If this is the case, you need a laptop that can keep up with you. Thanks to Asus, this is no longer a problem. With the asus g73jh-a2 17 inch gaming laptop, you can compete with the best and never miss a beat. This laptop has everything you need to really get into the action. What makes this laptop stand out in a crowd is the realism it offers. Not only do you get full HD graphics, they come at an unmatched framerate. Other laptops in this class just cannot keep up. This is due in part to the Intel Core i7 quad-core processor. The processor is incredibly powerful and is helped by the 1GB GDDR5 VRAM. Add to this 8GB DDR3 system memory and you can understand why gamers wouldn’t choose anything else. The hypersonic performance allows your laptop to handle any game with ease.

g73jw-xa1The republic of gamers Asus G73JH-A2 Gaming Laptop is at the moment, one of the fastest  laptops for gamers in the world with a quad-core Intel Core i7 processor and 8MB od DDR3 and ATI’s top mobile GPU- The Mobility Radon HD 5870.  With a Hardware like this it can be beaten only by some pretty expensive and exorbitant configuration of Dell’s Alienware m17x and some other custom made gaming laptop which will rub deep into your pocket.

Best of all, the machine comes with a two year 360 global warranty along with a one year accidental damage warranty. Not only does this laptop contain all of the above, but the keyboards, sound and display are all excellent. This is important for anyone who really wants to get into the gaming experience. It comes with a regular DVD drive. Republic of gamers review : Asus G73JW-XA1 Cons. The downside of this laptop is the size.  You would find the laptop to be pretty big. It also  comes with a large power adapter.  Comparably it is about the size of an xbox 360. Its portability is not the best and you should decide if this is something you might decide to overlook. Also, this model does not come with the Blu Ray/DVD drive which allows you to do more than just play games with this laptop. If you prefer the Blue Ray DVD drive then a comparable model would be the   Asus G73JH-A1.
